Originally designed for deploying ROVs and sensors from an Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV), the CROC Smart Winches are ideal for portable or remote applications utilizing small diameter tether. They offer a motorized payout and retrieval, with an optional handheld pendant for local control. Or, by connecting to a standard network and using the built-in web control, operators can drive the winch functions through an intuitive interface. For more advanced users and researchers the winch control can be fully customized and automated using a programming API (contact us for more information). ROV, USV and Robotic system designers, Sonar providers and sensor manufacturers can include the full winch functionality directly into their control software for a seamless operator experience.
All of the smart winch products include a cable counter for measuring deployment distance and allowing accurate “go to” commands.
